Every day, the men and women of the San Joaquin County Probation Department serve the residents, business owners, and visitors of our beautiful county by providing services that create a safe and strong community.
From guiding people towards a positive and progressive future, to creating long lasting partnerships and programs designed to cultivate great community members and even better communities, our staff assist with it all.
The San Joaquin County Probation Department oversees the supervision of probationers placed on Pretrial Programming, Adult Probation or Local Community Supervision.
Juveniles who are booked in Juvenile Hall or placed on Juvenile Probation are supervised by the San Joaquin County Probation Department.
A program aimed at combating homelessness in San Joaquin County by collaborating with local agencies, law enforcement, and community organizations to connect the unhoused with essential services.
While many may believe the role of the probation department is to catch probationers violating their terms, the truth is we strive to guide people toward successfully completing their probation commitment.
