Steve Jackson, Chief Probation Officer

I consider it an honor and privilege to serve the hard-working and dedicated men and women of the San Joaquin County Probation Department.  Our shared values include excellence, the importance of the individual, team concept, ethical conduct, professionalism, and the importance of community, and a safe and healthy environment, which is reflected in our actions and communicated to our co-workers, clients, and the community.  Our mission is clear; Supporting a Safer, Stronger Community, and our purpose is to increase public safety, support victims, and reduce recidivism among our clients.  We are committed to learning, growing, and evolving to enhance our level of service to the community.
