Officers in our AB109 High Risk Unit received credible information indicating that a client had violated her court-ordered conditions of probation and potentially possessed a firearm. In response, the client was called to our office for a routine check-in, which provided an opportunity to conduct a thorough search of her vehicle.
During the search, K9 Colt lead the investigation and alerted officers to the presence of suspicious items on the passenger side of the vehicle. Our officers proceeded with a search, ultimately uncovering a large knife and evidence suggesting the client’s involvement in identity fraud.
Our officers, in collaboration with the assistance of the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, proceeded to the client’s residence to conduct a Probation Search. This joint effort yielded further discoveries, as additional incriminating items were found at the premises. Consequently, the client now faces not only a Probation Violation but also multiple new charges.
This successful action exemplifies the unwavering commitment of our AB109 High Risk Unit to ensuring the safety and compliance of individuals under our supervision. By diligently following up on credible leads and employing the expertise of our dedicated K9, we were able to uncover crucial evidence and take appropriate action.
