SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA – The Community Corrections Partnership (CCP) Executive Committee has approved five vendors to provide AB109 programs and services in San Joaquin County. This decision was made in an effort to enhance community safety and support the successful reentry of individuals transitioning from the criminal justice system.
Through the process, an Evaluation Committee was formed to evaluate each of the proposals. The committee was facilitated by the County Purchasing Department and was made up from members of the Probation Department, and where applicable, the Sheriff’s Office. With a total of 21 proposals from 14 vendors, the committee carefully reviewed and scored each proposal independently based on predetermined evaluation criteria. Five organizations demonstrated the ability to effectively deliver evidence-based programs and services in the following categories:
These approved vendors will provide a range of services, including substance abuse treatment, mental health counseling, job training, and housing support.
“We are thrilled to have finalized our vendor selection process and are confident that these organizations will play a crucial role in supporting individuals reentering our community from the criminal justice system,” said Steve Jackson, Chair of the CCP Executive Committee. “By offering comprehensive, wraparound services, we aim to reduce recidivism rates and promote public safety in San Joaquin County.”
The approved vendors will now enter into contract development followed by approval by the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors. Once approved, their focus will be on providing support to individuals who qualify through AB109, assisting them in successfully reintegrating into the community.
