Deputy Chief Probation Officer Jaime Grant started her career with the San Joaquin County Probation Department in 2006 as a Deputy Probation Officer (DPO). During her time as a DPO, she worked various units within the department including Adult Assessments, Violent Crimes Unit, Community Supervision and County Supervision. She was promoted to Deputy Chief Probation Officer (DCPO) in April 2024.
DCPO Grant holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.
She believes and embraces Evidence-Based Programming. She has served as a certified Train-the-Trainer for Motivational Interviewing, Effective Practices in Community Supervision (EPICS), Real Colors and as a Department Range Master. She has also instructed Probation Officer CORE and facilitated for Chief Probation Officers of California (CPOC) Leadership Academy.
Her belief is, the more tools one has on their tool belt, the better off they will be when it comes time to build their future.
