San Joaquin County Probation Assistant Deputy Chief Probation Officer Theresa Amador.

Assistant Deputy Chief Probation Officer (ADCPO) Theresa Amador has been with the San Joaquin County Probation Department for 28 years.

ADCPO Amador started her career with the San Joaquin County Probation Department in October 1994, when she accepted a position at Juvenile Hall as a Group Counselor. In 1998, she became a Deputy Probation Officer and held assignments in both the Juvenile and Adult Divisions. She joined the management team in March of 2002, and supervised the Backgrounds & Training Unit and served as Youth Advocate in the Detention Division. In 2019, she was promoted to her current position.

ADCPO Amador received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of the Pacific with a minor in Sociology.
